Before founding Assertion Law, Aneal gained extensive experience working at a full-service law firm in Mississauga, where he was part of the Business and Construction Law practice group. He then served as in-house counsel for Canada’s largest property and casualty insurer, honing his skills in litigation, risk management, and complex dispute resolution. These roles provided Aneal with a deep understanding of both private practice and corporate legal environments, laying the foundation for the client-focused, results-driven approach he brings to Assertion Law.

During law school, Aneal further developed his legal expertise through hands-on roles that shaped his practical approach to client advocacy. He interned at the Michigan Court of Appeals, assisting judges with complex appellate matters and refining his research and analytical skills. Aneal also volunteered at the Environmental Law Clinic at the University of Detroit Mercy, where he worked on legal issues impacting developers and the construction industry in Detroit’s revitalization efforts. Additionally, he served as a caseworker at Community Legal Aid in Windsor, advocating for individuals facing financial and legal challenges.

Outside of law, Aneal brings practical, real-world experience as a contractor and business owner. Having successfully owned and operated a franchised contracting company, he understands the challenges business owners, contractors, and professionals face in managing operations, mitigating risks, and navigating complex legal landscapes.
